Barq Dev is looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Manager to own and grow our social presence. This role is for a one-person social engine - someone who thinks strategy, creates fast, and drives engagement using modern, efficient tools.
Must-Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field
- 2–3 years of social media experience (tech/start-up experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok
- Engagement-first mindset with a sharp sense of design and storytelling
- Comfortable using fast, modern tools (Canva, CapCut, or similar)
- Knows how to work smart and quick visuals, effective reels, and scroll-stopping content
- Basic knowledge of social media ads is a plus
- Self-driven, creative, and positive attitude
Scope of Work:
- Own daily social media content across platforms (planning, posting, scheduling)
- Ideate and write engaging posts, captions, and short-form content
- Build and support content calendars and campaign rollouts
- Capture photos/videos when needed
- Monitor performance, engagement, and optimize content accordingly
- Stay ahead of trends and propose creative, growth-focused ideas
Deal Breakers:
- Needs constant direction or approvals to execute day-to-day social content.
- Relies on slow, complex workflows instead of fast, modern content tools.
- Not comfortable being accountable for engagement, performance ad growt
