Privacy Policy

This policy covers the public Barq website. It does not govern data processed as part of a client project; that work is covered by the applicable client agreement and project documentation.

• Information you provide. When you request a product review, schedule a call, or contact the team, you may provide contact details, company and product information, product links, scheduling preferences, and the content of your message.
• Request and security data. Hosting and network systems process basic request details, such as an IP address, requested page, browser information, and timestamp, to deliver and protect the site.
• Error diagnostics. The site uses privacy-minimized error reporting to identify technical failures. This error-reporting service is configured without session replay, performance tracing, client logs, or default personally identifying information.
• Optional analytics. If you choose basic analytics, PostHog processes page views, browser and device details, campaign sources, and review-journey events such as step progress, backtracking, validation failures, and confirmed submissions. Basic analytics stores no analytics cookies or persistent visitor identifiers in your browser and does not record sessions. PostHog groups events using a server-generated hash of the project, hostname, IP address, browser user agent, and a salt that changes daily. The IP address is removed before further analytics processing; the daily identifier does not connect your visits across days.
• Optional analytics cookies and replay. If you also enable this category, Google Analytics and PostHog can use analytics storage to connect visits across days. PostHog provides masked session replays on the homepage, product-review pages and vacation rental automation pages to help us understand usability problems. Form answers, contact details, submission references, and embedded scheduling content are hidden from these replays. We do not send questionnaire answers or contact details as analytics events, or identify visitors by name or email in PostHog.
• Campaign source data. When a product-review link includes UTM values, those values may be saved with the submitted request so Barq can understand its source. Meta click and browser identifiers are processed only when you enable marketing measurement, and are kept only while delivery may need to be retried.
• Optional Meta measurement. If you enable marketing measurement, Meta Pixel may process page, browser, referrer, and advertising identifier data. When a review request is successfully saved, Barq may also send Meta a Lead event through its Conversions API. That event can include a one-way hash of your normalized email address, consented Meta identifiers, browser details, IP address, the offer type, and Barq's source page. It does not include your questionnaire answers, product name, product URL, or free-text context.
• Your privacy choice. The site stores your selected categories, consent version, and choice time in browser storage and a first-party cookie so it can respect that choice on later visits.
• Questionnaire drafts. Unfinished product-review answers are stored only in temporary browser session storage. They are cleared when you submit, restart, or close the tab, and expire after 24 hours as an additional safeguard.

The launch-readiness questionnaire collects the information needed to assess eligibility, understand your main concern, arrange appropriate access, and provide the requested review. A copy of the submission is stored in Barq’s operational system and sent to the reviewing team by email.

Do not submit passwords, API keys, access tokens, source code, regulated data, confidential customer records, or production credentials through the questionnaire. If additional material is needed, Barq will arrange a more appropriate access method after reviewing the request.

Product-review requests and related communications are retained only as long as reasonably needed to deliver the review, manage follow-up, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion using the contact path below, subject to records Barq must retain.

When you subscribe from a guide, Barq stores your email address, the guide page where you signed up, and the time and wording version of your consent. The same mailing list serves all guides. We use it to send occasional practical notes about AI and automation for property management and hospitality teams when updates are available.

A new signup also sends an internal email notification to the Barq team. Your email address is not sent to website analytics or advertising platforms as part of the newsletter signup. Basic abuse-prevention controls help protect the form from automated submissions.

Your browser remembers when you dismiss the mailing-list invitation so it stays hidden for 30 days. After a successful signup, it remembers that choice to avoid asking again in the same browser. These preferences contain no email address. Temporary session storage counts time spent viewing guides and limits the invitation to once per browser tab session. Clearing browser storage also clears these preferences.

Joining this list is optional and separate from cookie preferences or requesting a product review. We retain your subscription while you remain subscribed. If you ask to stop updates, we retain a minimal record of that choice to prevent accidental resubscription. You can ask us to stop updates or delete your record by emailing [email protected]. Future mailing-list messages will include a way to unsubscribe.

Necessary storage is used to remember your privacy settings and support core site functions. The consent record is configured to remain for up to one year unless you clear it sooner.

PostHog is loaded only after you choose basic analytics or analytics cookies and replay. Basic analytics is a separate choice: rejecting all optional measurement, or making no choice, does not enable it. Google Analytics and session replay require the analytics cookies and replay category. Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API are not used until you enable marketing measurement. If you later disable a category, the site stops future collection for that category and attempts to remove its known first-party cookies. UTM values submitted with a product-review request remain first-party source data and do not by themselves load an analytics or marketing provider.

You can disable analytics cookies and replay while keeping basic analytics on. Turning basic analytics off also turns analytics cookies and replay off. “Reject optional” stops all optional analytics and marketing measurement. Changing analytics modes clears PostHog's stored visitor identity; data already collected with your permission may remain subject to retention settings.

You can change your decision at any time through “Cookie Preferences” in the footer. Browser controls can also delete cookies and local storage, although doing so may cause the site to ask for your choice again.

• PostHog is used only after your analytics choice for basic cookieless measurement, or usage measurement with cookies and masked session replays. Barq uses PostHog's EU Cloud project. Review the PostHog Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
• Google Analytics is used only after consent to analytics cookies and replay. Review the Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
• Meta is used only after marketing consent to measure advertising visits and confirmed review requests through Meta Pixel and the Conversions API. Review the Meta Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).

• Calendly is embedded only after you open the scheduling tool. Information you enter there is processed through Calendly and shared with Barq for scheduling and follow-up. Review the Calendly Privacy Notice (opens in a new tab).

Hosting, security, and operational providers may also process limited information as needed to deliver their services. Providers may process data in countries other than your own under their applicable terms and safeguards.

• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the website.
• Remember and apply your privacy choices.
• Assess and deliver requested product reviews, arrange safe access, schedule conversations, and respond to messages.
• Send occasional product engineering resources when you choose to opt in. You can unsubscribe from those messages at any time.
• Understand and improve website performance when you have enabled analytics.
• Measure Meta campaign visits and confirmed review requests when you have enabled marketing measurement.
• Meet legal obligations and protect legitimate rights.

Information is shared with service providers only as needed for the purposes described above, or when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the website, Barq, its clients, or others. Information may also be transferred as part of a business reorganization, subject to appropriate handling.

The consent record is configured for up to one year. Scheduling records, communications, analytics data, and technical diagnostics are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for their purpose, legal obligations, or dispute management, subject to provider settings and policies.

You can withdraw optional cookie consent through the footer at any time. You can also unsubscribe from optional resource emails through the link in those messages. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of certain personal information, or to object to some uses. Use the contact path below to make a request. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed.

Barq uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. The website is intended for business audiences and is not designed to collect information from children.

This notice may be updated when the website, providers, or legal requirements change. Material revisions will be reflected by a new effective date on this page. Barq keeps this notice under periodic operational and legal review.
