Website Terms

Effective date:

These terms govern use of the public Barq website. Separate written agreements govern all client services and project work.

Using this website

By using barq.dev, you agree to these website terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. You may use the site for lawful informational and business purposes only.

Website information

Website content describes Barq’s capabilities, experience, and general approach. It is provided for general information and is not a binding offer, technical recommendation, legal advice, or guarantee of a particular result. Project outcomes depend on the agreed scope, constraints, dependencies, and client participation.

Client services

A website visit, message, or scheduled call does not create a client relationship. Client work begins only under a written agreement accepted by the relevant parties. That agreement defines scope, responsibilities, fees, timelines, intellectual property, confidentiality, warranties, support, and any project-specific terms.

If these website terms conflict with a signed client agreement, the signed client agreement controls for that engagement.

Free product reviews

Free product reviews are focused, preliminary diagnostics offered at Barq’s discretion for eligible working products. A submission does not guarantee acceptance, a particular turnaround time, or a client relationship. Barq may decline or stop a review when the product is outside scope, the submitted information is incomplete, or safe and authorized access is not available.

Unless Barq confirms otherwise in writing, the free review covers one product, one primary environment, and up to 90 minutes of senior engineering time. It is not a penetration test, formal security audit, compliance assessment, certification, legal advice, or guarantee that every defect, vulnerability, or operational risk will be found.

You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to act on the findings, testing changes, maintaining backups, and protecting your systems and data. You confirm that you are authorized to share any link, account, repository, recording, screenshot, or other material provided for review.

Any money-back guarantee shown on the website applies only to a later paid Barq implementation covered by a written agreement. If covered work does not meet the written acceptance criteria, Barq will correct that work at no additional cost during the agreed correction period. If Barq cannot deliver the agreed scope after that process, Barq will refund the fees paid for the affected undelivered or non-conforming work.

The signed agreement defines the covered scope, acceptance criteria, correction period, affected milestone, dependencies, exclusions, and refund process. The guarantee does not apply to the free review, changes outside the agreed scope, third-party failures, client-caused delay or changes, misuse, or business and commercial outcomes.

Scheduling and other submissions

The scheduling tool is provided through Calendly. Its operation and the information entered there are also subject to the Calendly Participant Terms (opens in a new tab) and Privacy Notice (opens in a new tab).

Do not submit passwords, API keys, access tokens, source code, regulated data, trade secrets, production credentials, or other sensitive material through a public website form. A submission is not confidential unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use the site in violation of applicable law or another’s rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its infrastructure, or connected systems.
  • Introduce malware, interfere with availability, or bypass security or access controls.
  • Scrape, copy, or automate access in a way that creates unreasonable load or is intended to reproduce protected site content.
  • Misrepresent your identity or the source of a communication.

Intellectual property

The website’s design, branding, text, graphics, and original materials are owned by Barq or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to public pages for ordinary business evaluation. No other license is granted unless it is stated in writing.

Third-party names, marks, project materials, and testimonials belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not grant permission to reuse them.

The site may link to or embed services operated by third parties, including Calendly and external portfolio or social platforms. Those providers control their own services, terms, availability, and privacy practices. Barq is not responsible for third-party sites or content.

Availability and changes

Barq may update, suspend, or remove website content or functionality at any time. The site may occasionally be unavailable or contain errors. There is no commitment to maintain a particular page, feature, or piece of content unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the public website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties not expressly stated in a signed agreement. Barq does not guarantee that the site will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Barq will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising solely from use of, or inability to use, the public website. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised when the website, services, or applicable requirements change. Updated terms apply from the effective date shown on this page. Barq keeps these general website terms under periodic operational and legal review.
